Kalmyk State University is a prominent higher education institute in the Republic of Kalmykia, Russia. It is especially renowned for its medical education, with its MBBS program being recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India.

The first state university in the Republic of Kalmykia, Russia, was established based on the Kalmyk Pedagogical Institute on January 1, 1970.
The Faculty of Medicine offers diverse programs, such as a Bachelor’s in Petrochemistry and Bioecology, a Master’s in Ecology, and Postgraduate studies in Ecology.
The Faculty of Pre-university Training and Education of Foreign Citizens boasts a Department of Russian as a Foreign Language and General Humanitarian Disciplines.
The international language schools and Olympiads conducted by KalmSU are recognised by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, allowing successful foreign participants to gain admission into master’s degree programs at Russian universities.
